ReplyDeleteGreat looking dog. I am going to make a small critique, I think his red nose stands out too much, bit like a clowns nose otherwise he is gorgeous I want to touch his fur.♥ Rosie
ReplyDeleteOh, don't paint over him. He is looking lovely. I'm sure with just a tweak or two you will be very happy with him.
ReplyDeleteI think this is wonderful- I really like it! Isn't it funny how when you step away from something, you find that you like it better than you's thought?

When you are having a tough spell while creating a work just set it aside where you won't see it for a day or two. Then come back to it with fresh eyes. You will see that it is a lovely work in progress. HAPPY PPF!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, I think he is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSachmo looks so sweetly grumpy. I think it's a great painting.
ReplyDeleteEveryone thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. Yes I'm liking it a bit more today; just see some places where I've gotten off the drawing and need to work on it. @Rosie, yes the pink part of his nose should be lighter. I tend to be a bit dark when I start and then lighten up layer by layer.
ReplyDeleteHe looks nice so far.
ReplyDeleteI want to scratch Sachmo's ears...he is so real! You must of been having a bad day, Mary, he's wonderful♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteHe is charming!! I bet he loves his portrait.
