Sachmo update

Well I finally figured out what was wrong with this; when I started laying in the color I lost his mouth and the shape of his muzzle. Once I figured that out and corrected it he looks much much better. So here he is at the moment.

  8. Oh yeah, he is really coming to life. He looks more Labby now, and less crabby. Isn't it great when you can fix that little thing that is nagging at you in a painting?

  11. thank you all, yes I think he's looking much better, glad I figured it out. @Cameron I use a lot of comb and rake brushes for the hair strokes, I have quite a collection now. I use bigger ones in the beginning, getting smaller as I build up the layers until in the end I'm using a liner brush for the fine detail.

  17. thanks everyone, waiting nervously for comments from client on the newest update, which I'm getting ready to post. Glad you like the giraffe cabinet, it was just a fun thing to do and African animals are pretty popular, like elephants and giraffes.
