Charla's Black Panther
some more progress on the panther. If you are just joining me, you can see the beginning stages of this painting on yesterdays post (May 13, 2011)
He is having some problems, that right ear looks too big and I might have his eyes too small. Some difficulty with the angles of the front legs...

What I love about you is how much you know about painting...how talented you are and so analyical at the same time. You show your struggles, which I wouldn't imagine you would have. I admire you for sure.

lisa, thank you for the compliment. I am also a teacher and I believe that showing my occasional struggles are valuable to others. There are many things that I paint quickly and well; they are practiced and easy for me to do. There are other things, like this panther that cause me to stretch and grow as an artist.
